Are the B8.5 13-15 RS5’s really that good?

My 2015 Audi RS5 in Sepang Blue – 2022 December.

The B8.5 RS5’s are more on the side of unheard about cars. There were only around 3,800 of these brought to the United States for the 2013, 2014 and 2015 production years. They only made these in automatic utilizing Audi’s 7-speed DSG. They came as either a couple or cabriolet option with the cabs having a slightly lower production number.

The Sound- These cars come with an amazing 4.2L V8 producing around 450hp and 317 tq. With the right aftermarket exhaust these cars sound absolutely amazing. The Armytrix and Capristo exhausts for these cars give them the higher pitch they deserve. Having owned two RS5’s and trying just about every catback exhaust option I can confidentially tell you that having the right exhaust makes all the difference.

Pros– Awesome Sound, great looks, comfy for a daily driver, valved exhaust option to keep things quiet when need be, brakes are excellent.

Cons– Heavier feeling around tight corners when pushing it, maintenance can be very expensive, outdated media system, many are not taken care of very well as these age, these are a bit harder to sell since they are not desired as much.
